1966
Johannes Thomas Grohe, son of Hans Grohe, founds the automatic turning shop Johannes Thomas Grohe in Alpirsbach Klostermühle, contract-manufacturing turned brass parts for the Hans Grohe company.

1987/1989
Fire breaks out. Twice, in fact. The machine park and premises are completely destroyed.

1990
In January 1990, Oliver Grohe takes over the company.

1992
Move into the new production hall in Betzweiler with 1,500 m² of production space.

First CNC lathe. The move into CNC turning begins.

1996
Certification to DIN ISO 9001.

2007
Grohe Präzision is converted into a public limited company (AG). Oliver Grohe on the board.

2010
Expansion by 1,200 m² with a new production and storage hall.

2011
Construction of a new office, training and staff building of approx. 800 m².

2012
Completion of the new swarf-disposal system for additional non-ferrous metals. Grohe Präzision AG becomes Grohe Technology AG. Production and storage space is increased to 5,500 m².

2016
Grohe Technology AG celebrates its 50th anniversary with 60 employees who produce 29 million parts a year in three-shift operation.

2018
Grohe Technology AG expands its production and administration space to a total of 20,000 m².

2019
Grohe Technology AG machines additional materials and expands its product portfolio with the “milling” division.

2020
Commissioning of the 750.0 kWp PV system, with an 80.0% self-consumption share. Grohe Technology AG becomes Grohe Technology GmbH.

2021
Grohe Technology employs 100 people, processes approx. 3,500 tonnes of metal a year and produces 37 million turned and milled parts.

2022
New ground-mounted PV system with 750 kWp. Commissioning of a new inspection system. Expansion of the machine park.

Installation of a more energy-efficient compressor system with heat recovery.

Expansion of work scheduling with AI-assisted tool dispensing.
