GROHE Technology in Loßburg (northern Black Forest) produces precision turned parts in copper, such as Cu-ETP, for applications with the highest demands on electrical and thermal conductivity. In diameters from 6 to 65 mm, also high-gloss turned.
Cu-ETP is an oxygen-containing copper with very high electrical and thermal conductivity and excellent forming properties. Its oxygen content limits its brazing and welding properties. We machine other copper alloys on request.
Soft, tough, demanding.
Copper is soft and tough. When machined, it tends to smear and form long chips. Clean surfaces and burr-free edges therefore call for matched tools, processes and a great deal of experience. Powerful machines alone are not enough. That is exactly where we come in.
Polished to a high gloss.
We can also diamond-turn copper: diamond tools produce high-gloss surfaces without grinding or polishing. More about diamond turning
